Other than Sun City, Sun City
West is the only adult
community, in the west valley,
that offers an abundance of
medical facilities, professional
services, restaurants and retail
shopping within the city itself.
In addition, there is a 1,200
seat social hall, arts & crafts
rooms for ceramics, stained
glass, silver craft,
photography, sewing,
woodworking, painting and
weaving as well as a 300 seat
theater, a library, picnic area
and a playground for visiting
children. But wait,
there’s more….
Sun City West is
home to approximately 31,000
people who enjoy the use of four
recreation centers.
Between them there are 3 indoor
and 3 outdoor swimming pools.
You can also enjoy bowling,
billiards, tennis, handball,
racquetball and numerous other
activities.
In addition to
the recreation centers,
residents own seven of the nine
golf courses in Sun City West.
Four of the seven – Pebblebrook,
Grandview, Deer Valley and Trail
Ridge – are championship
courses, while Stardust, Eche
Mesa and Desert Trails are
executive length courses.
Hillcrest Golf Club is owned by
John Jacobs School of Golf and
is open to all residents as well
as the public. Briarwood Golf
Course and Country Club is Sun
City West’s only country club –
featuring golf, swimming and
tennis.
